Our collective wisdom is one of Reanda’s key company values. In short, it means we want to share our knowledge across all teams and learn from each other, no matter our background or experience level. But there’s more to it than that.

We is better than me
Collective wisdom means that our company knowledge comes from all our employees, not just one expert. Knowledge is something to be shared; knowledge should flow. It can flow down from someone who is an expert in their field, who holds a senior position and who can pass on their knowledge to the others. Or it can flow up-stream from someone who only just started out at the company as a junior, someone who has a unique and fresh perspective on things. Seniors can learn just as much from juniors.
We want to hear what our people think and we invite and encourage everyone to speak up and share their perspective. To ensure this, it is essential to have a company environment where people feel safe to speak their minds and where they are actually heard. As our colleague Larisa put it: “People are encouraged to speak up, regardless of the level they are on.”
Diversity of knowledge
Our company holds a diversity of knowledge. As we often say: The diversity of our people holds a distinctive power. All of our people come with their own experiences; they have their own cultural background, they worked on various projects in various countries at various companies. All have their own educational background and unique interests. All these minds together hold a wealth of knowledge. “We learn from each other every day,” said our partner Henk Stokman.
Continuous improvement
We continuously strive to improve ourselves and broaden our knowledge. This involves hard skills, like new information gained through courses; individual studies or our yearly summer courses. But knowledge also comes from soft skills, by communicating and building a relationship with both our employees and our clients. We learn from every client and from every audit. And we share what we learn with our teams.
Every month we have our Monthly Technical Update. Here we keep each other up to date on new developments in the audit field or at Reanda. But we also invite colleagues to speak about subjects that are beneficial to other teams, such as new things they learned during their studies or from a client.
Quality from passion
Our collective wisdom isn’t just to ensure the quality of our audits. It’s something that comes from within. A drive to do better, to go the extra mile. We have a curiosity that can’t be sated and we want to keep learning. For ourselves, and to share it with others. And create a collective library of minds and knowledge where everyone can benefit from each other’s experiences.
