At Reanda Netherlands, continuous learning is an essential part of how we work. Every year, our Audit Summer Course brings colleagues together to explore new developments, strengthen technical expertise, and align our approach to delivering high-quality audits.
More than a training program, the Summer Course is an opportunity to share knowledge across teams, align our way of working, and reinforce the culture of Collective Wisdom that defines Reanda Netherlands.
Looking ahead
One of the key objectives of the Summer Course is to prepare our people for the developments shaping the future of audit.
This year’s program focused on CSRD, ESG and Artificial Intelligence. Together, we explored recent developments, discussed their potential impact, and reflected on how Reanda will continue to respond to these changes in the years ahead.
From insight to action
Understanding new developments is only the first step. Just as important is translating those developments into the way we work every day.
Throughout several sessions, colleagues were introduced to new guidance that will soon become part of our audit manual. The sessions covered Reanda’s approach to documentation, templates, methodology and practical application, ensuring a shared understanding across the firm.
Additional sessions focused on reporting and taxation, highlighting Dutch regulatory requirements while also addressing the international perspectives that are highly relevant to our client base.
The final day included sessions on client and engagement acceptance, roles and responsibilities within audit teams, reinforcing a consistent approach to quality across the firm.
Looking beyond the profession
The Summer Course concluded with an inspiring keynote by Aljan de Boer, titled “The World Has Changed! Have You?”
His presentation encouraged us to reflect on how rapid global developments influence both organizations and individuals, reminding us that curiosity, adaptability and continuous learning remain essential qualities for professionals in a changing world.
Learning from each other
One of the highlights of this year’s Summer Course was the level of involvement across the firm.
- Around 20% of our employees contributed to organizing or presenting the program.
- 12 of the 15 sessions were prepared and delivered by our own colleagues.
These numbers reflect one of the principles that defines Reanda: Collective Wisdom.
Most of the knowledge shared throughout the Summer Course came from our own people. Sharing expertise across teams is how we continue to learn, grow and improve together—because we know that “we” is better than “me”.
Looking forward
The event received very positive initial feedback, while also providing valuable insights for future editions. As with every year, we continue to look for ways to improve the experience, create even more interaction, and further strengthen the course for the years ahead.
Following the Summer Course, colleagues came together for our annual Summer BBQ—a tradition that marks the end of a busy season and offers an opportunity to reconnect in an informal setting.
