Reanda at the SRA Culture Day

On November 12th the SRA, a Dutch association for accountancy firms, held its annual SRA Culture Day. The central theme of the day was cooperation within firms and Reanda Netherlands was invited to speak as one of the leading firms in diversity and inclusion. Our partner Gerard Uijtendaal and our people and culture manager Yannique Wentzel were happy to accept the invitation and shared the story of how Reanda became the diverse firm it is today.

Reanda’s story

When Reanda started seven years ago it was clear that the firm would focus solely on global companies. This naturally attracted people who were interested in working in a more international environment. Now, our team and workplace are a reflection of our clients: international, diverse, with English as the working language.

Besides the wide pool of nationalities at our office, we are diverse in age as well. We employ a mix of experienced auditors and young talent. One of our core values is our collective wisdom; we share the knowledge and experience we have. Juniors can learn from our seniors, but in turn we also learn from our juniors. They bring in a fresh perspective and a new wave of knowledge. We is better than me, as we always say, and like this we strive to share our skills so we can all continue to improve ourselves.

Challenges solved by a new generation

For the future we want to make sure we maintain our trend of continued growth in the diversity of our employees. To be fair, it’s going to take a few years before the group of partners is more diverse in age and gender, but we are working hard to get more diversity at the top by investing in our new generation. And we want to help them succeed with our leadership development programme to bring out the best in them.
